Working with Secureway
Does it cost anything to work with you?
No. Our help is completely free. Licensed agents are paid by the insurance companies, so you pay nothing to have us compare plans and enroll you. Your plan’s own premiums and costs are separate and set by the insurance company.
Do you speak Spanish?
Yes. Our team is fully bilingual and we’re glad to help you in English or Spanish, whichever is more comfortable.
Where are you located?
We have three offices in the Rio Grande Valley — Hidalgo, Alamo, and Mission, TX. Visit in person or handle everything over the phone.
Do I have to switch plans if I call you?
Not at all. Sometimes the best advice is to keep what you have. We review your options honestly and you decide — never any obligation.
About Medicare
When can I change my Medicare plan?
The main window is the Annual Enrollment Period, October 15 to December 7, with changes taking effect January 1. Other periods may apply depending on your situation — we’ll help you find the one for you.
What’s the difference between Medicare Advantage and a Supplement?
In short: Medicare Advantage bundles everything into one plan, often with extras and a low premium but a set network. A Supplement works with Original Medicare to lower out-of-pocket costs and lets you see any doctor that accepts Medicare. We’ll help you weigh which fits.
Will my current doctors be covered?
That depends on the plan. Before you enroll, we check whether your doctors and pharmacies are in-network so there are no surprises.
What about my prescriptions?
We compare your specific medications against each plan’s drug list so you can see your real expected costs before choosing.
I’m turning 65 soon — when should I start?
Your first chance to enroll is a seven-month window around your 65th birthday. It’s smart to talk a few months ahead so you’re ready — call us anytime.
Life Insurance
How much life insurance do I need?
A common guideline is 10 to 12 times your annual income, but the right amount depends on your family, debts, and goals. We’ll help you figure out what makes sense — free.
Is life insurance affordable?
Yes — term life especially is very affordable, and many Valley families are surprised how little coverage costs. We’ll show you real quotes at no cost.
What’s the difference between term and whole life?
Term covers you for a set period (like 20 or 30 years) at a lower cost; whole life lasts your entire life and builds cash value. We’ll explain which fits you best.
Home Insurance
Is home insurance required in Texas?
Texas doesn’t legally require it, but your mortgage lender almost always will. Even if your home is paid off, it protects your biggest investment. We’ll help you find the right coverage.
Does home insurance cover storm damage?
Most policies cover wind and storm damage, but coverage varies — and flood is usually separate. We’ll review the details so there are no surprises after a storm.
Can I save by bundling home and auto?
Yes — bundling is one of the easiest ways to lower your total premium. Ask us for a free bundled quote.
Auto Insurance
How much auto insurance do I need in Texas?
Texas requires minimum liability coverage (30/60/25), but that may not be enough to fully protect you. We’ll help you choose coverage that keeps you truly protected without overpaying.
How can I lower my car insurance?
Bundling with home, safe-driver discounts, and adjusting your coverage can all help. We shop your options for free to find you the best price.
Can you help if I’ve had tickets or an accident?
Yes — we work with multiple carriers, so even if your record isn’t perfect, we can help you find coverage. Call us for a free, judgment-free quote.
Can I get auto insurance with a foreign driver’s license?
In many cases, yes. What’s accepted depends on the carrier, so we’ll check which carriers will cover you and explain your options.
Does my U.S. auto policy cover me in Mexico?
Most U.S. auto policies do not cover driving in Mexico, and Mexico generally requires liability coverage from a Mexican insurer. Ask us about short-term Mexico trip insurance before you go.
